is it weird to draw people in public?

A few days ago on the way home, I sat across this girl on the bus. I have been trying to start drawing more and I suddenly felt the need to draw so I sketched her a little. she didn't really notice, or she didn't really care idk. I had to get off so I couldn't finish it but I had a rough sketch.  It turned out pretty ok and I plan to maybe outline it and add details later, but I digress. do you guys think it's weird to draw people in public?

“Iida-kun” you called to the class representative, “can you take a look at this class agenda? Aizawa-sensei wanted the two of us to organize it.”
“Of course. Anything for you” Iida said without hesitation, taking a seat beside you.
As he sat down, his sleeve brushed yours, causing both of you to jump away from each other in surprise. You stared at him with the same bashful expression with which he stared at you for a moment before you heard Ashido snicker behind you.
“Look at those two lovebirds” Ashido giggled, “they’re doing it again.”
You immediately looked down at your lap, not wanting Iida to see the redness that had crept its way up to your cheeks.
“A-as the class representative, I believe it is i-inappropriate to have such a relationship with a classmate—” he started.

“A-alright, alright! Loosen your grip” you complained, laughing as Nagisa pouted.
“You really should start to bring your own lunch, Nagisa-kun” Rei sighed, “what would you do without her?”
“Why would I need to do that?” Nagisa asked, wrapping his arm around you, “I’ll always have (Name)-chan!”
You laughed uneasily, placing your hand on top of Nagisa’s. The truth was, you would be leaving Japan for good very soon.
